This is I at a picnic some years ago. I am part of a living history association based in Gothenburg. We re-enact the city and its garrison in the late 18th century. I enjoy the craftsmanship involved in bringing history to life, how it involves all your senses trough clothes, dancing and yes, food. I am in it for the experience, for the time travelling quality of it. The magic lies in translating what you find in museums and archives into the sounds, smells and taste of years past.
